A Valentine
Dedicated to all Passions Poets

Thank you friends and members of this poetic family
I'm dedicating this to you and your wonderful poetry
There's much I would say and so much more I would do
To tell you of the wonders I owe each of you
Dee my fine friend, your writing helped my soul to soar
Thank you Dee darling for holding wide this door
Margie girl, who writes letters of elegance and grace
Your wondrous loving heart set mine free to race

Kari, sister-of-heart, who reached out hands to me
Guided my faltering steps before she set me free
Sven, your encouragement helped me off the floor
Told me ‘have faith’ then you watched me soar
Juanita, dearest friend, you bubble with delight
Lyra! My heroine! I see you bathed in light
Pepper, your hand held mine through a time of tears
Kathleen, your tenderness helped repel all fear

There's many more to come before this rhyme is through
Dave darling friend, I'm not forgetting you
You at times make me cry, less often make me grin
But to omit you from my list would be an awful sin!
Roger darling man! I know well what you think of me
But whether I'm hot or not your words have clarity
Bill ~ your wise words have danced here within my soul
They've spun dreams and magic! Even made me whole

Umpteen names I could add to this list of mine
Each a different poet whose writing is sublime
But just a few more ~ I hope you'll stay with me
Here on my list a reservation held for one Kethry    
Keth     my soul-sister shining with clearest light
Keth     your hand steadies me when I fear the night
You, the breeze of inspiration lifting me to the sky
If you were to go away I might surely die

A last verse I should mention my friend Balladeer
He’s a fabulous poet who simply has no peer
Newell, Larry, Magnus,I could add another score
Like Floria and Nancy and still I think of more
I’ve learned a lot you’ve each helped me to grow
I wanted to thank you and let each of you know
Now I’ve reached the end there’s one thing left to say
I love you, beloved poets tomorrow, forever, and today
