RASCALLY RACOON
By: Bill Charles and Noah Eaton
2/9/02

~~~~
Gather round this campfire, y'all
I'll tell you a story that'll give you the spooks
So bear with me now
I'll tell you of our friend Rascally Raccoon
Stealthy he ever is,
into the night’s dark…
Came from over there,
in the deep, of the park…
Legend has it he's sly
Twice as sly as a fox
Rumor has it he once
Even caught sight of Goldilocks
He lives there you know,
yet this way he comes…
Like fishes to a stream,
getting out of aquariums…
He comes out of the bayou
Creeping on the hummingbird feeders
Somehow he sneaked into my garage
Leaving no footprints where he teetered
Some may ask him why,
others will never know…
Heck I do, he’s hungry,
just like an armadillo…
Better hide your compost
And store your garbage cans with caution
You never know where he's been
You never know where he'll go for certain
So he comes in the dark,
into garbage cans he goes…
Making noise, and a mess
rascally raccoon, desperado…
Lol at this write.
We have racoons here only they don't wear masks when they rob you and they're called possums.
Very funny
Bill/Noah - Cute write.  Raccons are certainly the  bandits of the animal kingdom.
Must be the relative of Rocky Raccoon...my brother used to own a raccoon and he could hold it but every time I walked by the cage the raccoon would hiss at me...James
Noah - thanks for this one. I really needed it. I still laugh when I read it, and I've read it numerous times. Thanks my friend, we'll do another different one soon...
Bill and Noah,
A very entertaining and enjoyable write.You both make a good team.This reminded me of a time we went camping.Was sleeping in a tent and the trash can was close to me.All of a sudden I felt something hit the tent and rushed out.Of course what should it be but those sly racoons.Thanks for the memory.
*giggling* I love this poem...It gave me just the right way to start my day....*giggling* reminded me of a run in that I had for 4 of these rascally creatures as they sat on my porch looking at me...I thought they were so cute, I reached out to touch them....The people I was with pulled me back and told me I was crazy..that they are really visious no matter how cute they look....*giggling* Oh well...live and learn, I guess. I still think they are cute enough to pet... I just love animals and wildlife leaves me in awe....Thank you, Noah and Bill...for filling me with such joy today. **big big hugs**
Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.
Noah and Bill, you must introduce your raccoon to Bunny Flu Flu. She could straighten him out in a minute. Cute piece.
