Heart’s Intentions I look at you with a saddened heart There is no need for this to start I did no wrong you know it’s true Now you say to me we’re through It’s not been easy this past year Many a fight, and many a tear But through it all I say to you My feelings real, my love is true You say you’re tired, need a break But hun, it’s our very lives at stake So please think twice before this move Please give me time, and let me prove That this is wrong, this step you make Help me stay you this great mistake “There’s no more time for us” you say “I’m sorry that I have to go this way Your time is spent with pen in hand Only in poems do you take a stand Your time is stretched quite thin Against this passion how can I win How do I do battle with a foe unseen Of this I know you think me mean Your true passion is words that rhyme And I come second most of the time” You are never second is my reply This I have proven, you cannot lie Most are poems of love for you I write them from a heart that’s true They speak the words I cannot voice To be this way was not my choice My feelings need escape you see And this is the only way for me My love for you is beyond measure Our lives together, my only treasure So promise me that you will stay Please help us to find a middle way I’ll find more time to hold you dear But of my poems please never fear They speak sentiments from my heart They were never meant to have us part So please let’s end this sad contention With acceptance of my heart’s intention Within these words I voice my heart Of which you own the greatest part. |

Brian this is so so heartfelt to me.. You seem my husband is a sports freak, and I always resented it. Now I write , and we both are happy, and I wonder why this writing didn't come to me sooner. Although I do have other interests, painting etc. But I so understand this.. it is a 50-50 proposition..both sides working together, This poem is simply wonderful, and so heartfelt. Luck to you, floria Floria |

Brian, I'm sorry to hear this.I hope it all works out for you.I know a little of what you feel.I can't even get my husband to read my writes and sometimes it causes problems for us.He doesn't understand without this outlet I would reverse back inside myself and lose myself completly. It hurts me so that he won't even read one.My best wishes and prayers are sent your way my friend. Hello Brian This was so beautiful yet so very sad. I hope it wasn't written from personal experience but judging from the power of your words I am lead to believe that is the case. I hope life is good for you. Take care.......Sue Suetang |
