Grandpa’s Loss
By Larry Chadwick

It isn’t love that troubles me so much,
But rather the thought of missing you.
I know it doesn’t happen all that often,
Yet it's such a hard thing that you do.

It’s a journey of a grandma’s love,
And I know you’re coming back.
Still in the mean time, while your gone,
Your daily presence I will lack.

I’m a big boy and I won’t cry,
Though I might get down and blue.
Just don’t hold that against me,
Because I’m really missing you.

Grandma is going to see the 3 grandsons!

This is adorable and sweet writing. It brought a smile to my face.

psst..I e-mailed "For Daddy" to my Dad. I haven't heard from him about it yet.

For all who watch.Dare you say hello? Come in and ask the questions that are on your mind, but spare me your judgement until you truly sipped of me.

Jenn,
Thanks so much. I'm dying to hear your daddy report. Keep me posted. Thanks.

floria,
Thanks. Hope things are going better.

Peaches,
Thank you. I'm so glad you're here.

Lauren,
Funny how what's in my head is only what I thought I said. I'll explain: my wife is leaving for 10 days to see her grandchildren. Grandpa's loss (mine) is that grandma will be gone (from me!). Honest I didn't mean to confuse you! But thanks for being as thoughtful as ever.

Karen,
Thanks so much. You are such a faithful friend. You know...when she is gone I'll be here often.

Noah,
Well...egg on my face. Funny how what's in my head is only what I thought I said. I'll explain: my wife is leaving for 10 days to see her grandchildren. Grandpa's loss (mine) is that grandma will be gone (from me!). Honest I didn't mean to confuse you! So hope you still have some sympathy left in the event I really need it!
