A sunset rose blooms upon the horizon
slowly fading like crystal dew of dawn
melting into a jupiter blue sea
upon waves of a salty bouquet

a eulogy of yesterday
deeply in the memoirs of mocha sands
bidding fondly a sweet adieu

along emerald seaweed shores
a garden of moonlight
blossoming like a geranium

each petal of wine is a star, reborn
drifting within the chalice of heaven
another prayer that has come true
christening another tomorrow for you

You can complain because roses have thorns, or you can rejoice because thorns have roses.
