Also, what was the movie that had the theme "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff; it's all small stuff"???? The New Year it’s morning of the third day has anything been written on my slate? there is history, though, perhaps, quite mundane, of what my hours have held but has there been a moment even worthy of chalk with which to record would merely ‘frittered’ be the extent of the value of my hours taught a little sang a little laughed a little gave a little do all the ‘littles’ add up to worth? do all the ‘littles’ validate my birth? what makes a year? months weeks days hours seconds nanoseconds do then all the ‘littles’ make a life? “Don’t sweat the small stuff!” “It’s all small stuff!” so, then, the ‘littles’ do matter added all together are not the ‘littles’ BIG? ©January 3, 2002 This really doesn't unfold as a poem...I think perhaps it's an outline for a discussion in prose. That's more than ever the reason why I want to cite the origin of the phrase quoted within it. Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

Whether it's a poem or a prose outline, I like it. Sorry I can't be of much help with the movie, though. I don't believe I've seen it. The theme in here is good--everything big is made up of little "parts." Nice to see you again, too, Virginia. Happy 2002! ![]() God bless America, my home sweet home. |

A carnation is only a carnation with hundreds of little petals working together to make it 'be' a flower. I like the way you put this together, with a lot of little thoughts about your day's activities. |

VAS, A day is only a day when it is made up of minutes and seconds. And the movie...I don't know anything about that but there was a book with that name written by Richard Carlson. Does that help? Kethry Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |

Thank you, all! And Kethry, I'm so glad to know it's actually a book, if I'd have been thinking, I might have realized it would be. I just want to give credit for the phrases to the right person. Now I know it's Richard Carlson. ![]() Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |
