Did you once feel like a sweet Juliet rose?
A floriferous sweet rose, soft and pink

Now sweet petals have lost their bloom
windswept in a fragrant tea breeze
but it is just a new beginning
a new tango, a new blossom to appease

End of a storm,  beginning of dawns light
end of a rainbow, is golden moonlight

The end of summer rain, welcomes the fall
as pirouette leaves rejoice in awe

The end of brisk winter is the birth of spring
a new born baby, a lullaby to sing
a new toy rattle, a new teething ring

End of a sunset, end of childbirth
little feet pattering,  heaven on earth

A sienna robin falling from a nest
only to discover it has been blessed
with feathered wings, dancing with zest

Sometimes teardrops in the wind blows
Into a blossom, a Juliet rose

You can complain because roses have thorns, or you can rejoice because thorns have roses.

This is so beautiful it just tears at my insides, Victoria...and it makes me want to cry out with joy at the beauty of our world.

Nice work, Vic. combination of the sadness of losing first youth, yet happines of grandchildren. I feel the same things often.

thank you sandra..actually it wasnt really about losing
youth..it was about losing other things as maybe
a lost love..but doesnt have to mean the end of the world
because there are other things in life to look forward to.
