The Waiting Game What element would bend the bough? And sweeten the time of here and now? What pressure would pop the cork? Spew champagne upon the talk? What words could weigh upon the wind And still touch gently the thin-skinned? What flower could fix a balm? Without the fire of alarm Is there such a thing as wait? Without the sigh of that I hate. Could there be a time of peace Without the moment of release Could immediate declare I’ll wait some time it’s only fair. Would it mar the inner ID? The succulence of the bid These are questions I put to thee A form of be or not to be. |

Seymour - sometimes I wonder about this things myself. How long does one wait? Is there such a thing as wait? Without the sigh of that I hate. Could there be a time of peace Without the moment of release BC |

Beautifully done, Seymour I especially loved this verse What element would bend the bough? And sweeten the time of here and now? What pressure would pop the cork? Spew champagne upon the talk? It seems especially relevant for the new year. ![]() ![]() ![]() copyright2001 Lyra Nesius |

Life needs to move on......waiting too long can make us sometimes lose sight of why we are waiting. Very interesting thinking here...Very well done. Much more here then meets the eye and you say it very well. **hugs** ![]() Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. |

![]() ![]() (sigh) Desires can indeed engulf us, and have us waiting so long they bring tears to our hearts! I am reminded of a quote from Ferris Bueller's Day Off "Life goes pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in a while, you can miss it.". (big hugggssssss) May we seize each day with a smile, but ultimately, capture each moment with love and cheer! (sigh) You always write so wonderfully, sweet friend, we all love you so mcuh! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Seymour, thank you for sharing! ![]() ![]() ![]() May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |

Shall I compare thee to a minstrel of wind Thou art more passionate and more temperate Rough words do shake the love from hearts And your verse has far too short a lease in time Not a sonnet..but from the heart. I missed you Sy. ~Sigh..you bring forth the William in everyone. Love Regina |
