She

She is the light on morning dew
when daybreak sounds are heard.
The wishes on a birthday cake
and silence of a bird.

She is the drying leaves of fall,
and colors they display.
The salty, copper scent of love
when passions are at play.

The breath when candles lose their light
and glow they once possessed.
She is the movement in a dream
massaging souls to rest.

Ah Michael...I love this! I don't know if you have ever heard the song called "She" but this reminded me of it, and now the melody is playing over in my mind. Lovely...enjoyed so much! Thanks for the remember.

“She” sounds like a lovely lady, to inspire such lovely thoughts in you. Whoever she is, you’ve done her proud with this piece Michael.
