I am elsewhere now, wishing to be home again. Where all this time my heart had lain – (but then we always knew beyond that dreamtime when all we loved was nurtured - hung floating here between us, fulfilling all we’d ever thought to want) - we always knew reality would measure far short of our reaching. I face this truth today – and nightly now knowing, look to find some understanding of this loss. Some direction – for now, it lies beyond my reach. It's cold beyond those walls - and windows showing other views are not the ones I'd known; perhaps the eyes I'd used are different than these now... (This is a time out of time. I'm looking for that smaller self, I'd left somewhere, a year or so ago - she had no expectations, not like those I've learned... if joy was not her day's companion, nor was sorrow.) |

Carol, I don't think I've read much of your work, this is good, very sorrowful but well written and took me along.......nicely done. Kathleen--(Kay) |

Kay, thank you... I am beginning to feel invisible on this forum! I'm new here... and have posted here & at the workshop - and at 'prose' - your response is one of the very few I've had! Carol |
