Pitiful to be so consumed with such greed reaching for everything except what you need so deathly afraid of being without the ones who do care you've begun to doubt Too bad for the children, alone & ignored who barely could wait 'til they walked out the door the children now grown with a home of their own who've left you to reap all the seeds you have sown your words, you once felt, where as good as gold but your words were found to be tired and old your speeches, so beautiful when first they are spoken turn quickly to lies & at best are token promises are made with charisma and flair pretty boxes with ribbons but empty as air for your only real love was your selfish reflection and now you are left with your one true connection... you... ~Tier 1/02 |
