He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed," NIV Luke 4:18 I'm hanging desperately, clinging to my memories Holding on to my troubles, sorrow and pain for dear life Living in fear, darkness, just wondering, how to be free Trying to cope, at the end of my rope, drowning in strife. Then a soft voice I hear; rejoice do not fear; I'll set you free Repent of your sins; Let Me come in, just let go! Release No, no, no! You must let go! Abandon all misery Let go of the rope! My arms are your slope; slide in to me. When Lot's wife looked back; into her track she turned into salt You must look ahead or soon you'll be dead; follow the light Seek truth and just love; as I pull you above; there's no fault No blame and no shame when you follow My Name. All's right. I am your Brother; unlike others; I'm Son of God, Christ I paid in blood gave Love in a flood, now you can have peace But you must not dwell on misery, be swell, feel nice Let everything go; let go of your rope, you must release, Release it all.
