Sat the knights in shining armor
sat the pigs in "Animal Farm"
sat family after family until their decline
when they sat to remember the missing
and gave speeches with no rhymes.

while the living stayed
we wept in empty cribs
and left our shadows howling in concrete boxes.
We looked for reason and planted trees
they took to seasonal changes
while we climbed their more robust limbs..

Sat the miller with his wife
and talked of never ending strife
the dressmaker would continue to pull threads
when our livelihoods would burn
we wanted to rip life to shreds.

Sat the butcher with his meat
customers would ask him for pigs feet
the pigs that sat around the farmers table
are all loose now and enact the famous fable

Sat all these folks and then their animal friends
the mockery of humanity would have no uncertain end
sat the soldier, sailor and government spy
they would salute their flag and say good-bye.

ecrivan,
shades of exodus. What are you doing! powerful write in the everyday lives.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Step through the
barrier of my mind,
enter my soul,
feel my desire,
let my eyes guide you
into the shadows

How can the blurring blurbs of others be overlooked at times?  Yes, most conversations seem to have elements of Animal Farm in it, don't they?

richly deep lines here, E.

(you know, when you mention 'swine',
I just have to come runnin'. ~smiles~)

Something tells me this is a thinking man's post...

and quite good at that...something to ponder over...

Sunshine and Stevie,

It was definitely done to ponder over, one read is not enough
