A Computer Romance

Well, here I sit at my PC,
And he sits at his too.
We write notes on IM's all day,
Well, what else can we do?

In between our forums,
As were writing to our friends.
Mine is all about poetry,
We share what comes from our pens.

His is treasure hunting,
With friends his stories he shares.
They tell of coins and rings they find,
Comparing their new found wares.

We IM each other all day long,
And wait anxiously for the other to respond.
We've been doing this for quite some time
And it seems to have created a bond.

We share our many jokes,
And say we are lonely.
And hope that soon we can meet,
When can it be? Oh if only, if only!!

Let me tell you a little secret,
About my PC affair.
About the man who writes to me each day,
To no other does he compare.

You want to know what is so funny ?
He is my husband, You see.
And he is right downstairs
Just eight steps away.
On his own PC

Wow talk about being addicted!

Floria

Floria!  You won't believe this, but, my husband and I IM each other as he is downstairs from me on his computer. Only he is in a magicians chat room.  This could have been written by me!  Hey, why didn't I think of this for a topic!!?

LOL Floria.....this is great!!!!!
It is just TOO FUNNY!!!!!
My husband and I do the same thing.  He used to be downstairs, but since he got a laptop, he has been spending time with me, in my study....so he isn't 8 steps away...I am looking right at him at this moment!
I think that you and Nancy and I ought to start a wives computer club.....this is hilarious!  I wonder how many other couples do this?  I bet its more common than we think.

This is so sweet. I can just picture it..both of you doing your own thing…but still so closely connected. That is wonderful indeed to share.

Floria... My boyfriend and I do this too, but he's only just down the hall! If I roll my chair back about a foot, I can see him. But I think that using IM is much more civilised than yelling down the hall, so we're really doing a good thing. At least that's what I try to tell myself! Loved it, very funny.

You know Madame, I have heard such negative remarks about our computers. People just don't understand all the wonderful friends we have met and all the great sites on here, and knowledge...that is too funny. Here I thought I was all alone. floria

Thank you startime, very much, glad it gave you a giggle. floria

strbbux - what a lovely poem. I see that hubby is a treasure hunter with a metal detector. I love the hobby also, and have done a little gold prospecting also in Virginia, and Canada....
