If he were to listen,
I would tell him
I know the depth
Is infinite behind
The words.

If he once dared look
Into my eyes
I would tell him
All those words,
The hundreds and
Thousands from
Billions of the pool
He chooses
And the combinations
Thereof,
Whether cast in anger,
Fear, love, doubt,
Sorrow or joy,
Only reveal and do
Not hide
What his soul
Is made of.

If he were here,
I would tell him...
But he may already know
Of the love that beats
Within and reaches
Through, beyond my heart,
To what lies beyond
The printed lines.

I just did a poem about words that do not work as well as his obviously do. This is a loving and well done poem.

This is lovely.  How could he not know of your love?  That kind of emotion is impossible to conceal.
