I Would Tell Him ~*Marge Tindal*~ Were He to ask, I would say Yes, Lord, I have loved this day Sunrise drenched upon the lawn called to me at early dawn~ Cardinals on the windowsill sang to me melodic trill Breeze through trees caressed my face bringing peaceful loving grace~ Smile from a friend in sweet attend Leaves lasting glow to warm me so~ Children's laughter in the wake of frolicking fun out on the lake Bubbles back to me in song Oh, I pray this day is long~ And as I, in earnest atone gather others to your Throne I will pray on bended knee giving thanks, My Lord, to thee~ *Inspired by title from LadyHawke* /pip/Forum53/HTML/002227.html Thank you~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |
