You do....yes...I know that...always have
Will I always remember, never once forget?
I hope not...

Will you love me when the flowers die
and the autumn of my life does now fly?
When all that I am is just a common man
just doing those things felt that I can.

I give you all that my heart does carry
I will not dilly dally, nor will I tarry.
I will stand at the gate of your  heart
waiting to catch it, if ever torn apart.

You know I am a part of your day
and that I simply won’t flitter away.
That each moment I share with you
are treasures of us, gems of blue.

Eyes that gleam and glisten so pure
Love boundless through time endure.
Lasting bond born of kinship so deep
Holding you tenderly as your asleep.

I wish to carry those thought until
Until the twelfth of  morrow I will.
Your bond shall remain within me
for I will love you, always faithfully.

Magnus, thank you for this.  My first thought of this is of two people who, for reasons they could not control, could never be as one, with the exception of that part of them in their souls, where they are always united...

and this is just that verbalization that neither one has never forgotten what once was...

Thank you!

Karilea...thank you...actually, I was
remembering all of the days when Lou and I

Forever faithful
promises not always kept
but I believe you

*sigh* I love the honesty within your poetry...you tell about what your heart feels and then tell us that as in real life you and Lou have had your struggles...Beautiful...I am sure this poem brought tears of tender love to her eyes..**big hugs**

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.
