I am trying to sleep Yet I cannot You invade my every thought Every dream Every sense I bury my head in the pillow I do not find slumber Only the smell of your hair Wafting in my face Reminding me of you Not that I need reminding Your love is ever present Wherever I look Wherever I go Whatever I see Nor am I complaining The lack of sleep is not a hardship For I would gladly trade an eternity Of nocturnal bliss To touch your lips With a passionate kiss |

I am not good at taking apart the poetry of others; I am not in a position to critique. But I like this poem because I can relate to what you say. |

"The lack of sleep is not a hardship For I would gladly trade an eternity Of nocturnal bliss" Now that's a great way to deal with insomnia! Well done, Jennirey. Don't go to sleep too early now. Your title is in my Plagiarism poem. [This message has been edited by Midnitesun (01-30-2002 01:10 AM).] |
