Dance Of The Mermaid
By: Noah Eaton
1/28/02

The young lolita mermaid sits on her crystal throne
Watching as starfish fill the waters like fireflies in the night
Lighting her dreams kingdom with silhouettes of eternal abode
Bringing pearl tears to her robin egg blue eyes

She notices a strobe light flashing over the ocean surface
Rising above the waters she spots the flicker of a lighthouse
Guiding a caravel to shore, she eyes a lonely sea captain through the ginseng mist
Smiling to the beauty of him, she rushes over, singing aloud

The lonely sea captain turns, his face glowing to the moon
As the mermaid sighs in joy, charmed by his manly beauty
Simpering like a lovesick little girl, softly she swoons
Finally having the courage to sing her siren song happily

On the velvet lagoon, the mermaid watches her lovers face shine
He noticing the coruscant beacon of her starlit eyes
He sighs in heavenly rapture, having finally found a mermaid in delight
Both meeting finally, dreaming to seek loves true prize…
