Some of the children were playing outside.
When something caught Crystal`s eye.

It was a little puppy someone had put out.
The puppy had been beaten there was no doubt.

He had been beaten very bad it seemed.
The children wondered how anyone could be so mean.

They looked at each other and said what can we do?
They looked at Crystal and said he`s looking at you.

Crystal held the puppy tight in her arms.
She promised him she would keep him from any harm.

She took the puppy and went home by herself.
She said mama will help me bring you back to health.

Her mother looked at her and said don`t be sad.
I don`t think he`ll make it he`s hurt really bad.

She carried the puppy up to her room.
She cleaned his wounds and said you`ll be well soon.

She got on her knees and said God I`m just a little girl.
I don`t know much about life in this world.

I know there is not much more I can do.
Will you please help my puppy and God I sure do love you.

Crystal`s prayers were answered that night.
With Gods help that puppy put up a good fight.

Crystal and her puppy she calls Faith everything they do  share.
Because one little girl took time to care.
