A ballad not for Matt Talbot |

I found my God, as Matt Talbot had once done, wrapped within the chains of his own vesicle desire, stretched along a nerve an all ragged and wincing child like crow wings flapping or vassal chains clanking their arcane approval. With an eviction on its tongue the homeless winds above howl wrecking a savage prayer in its lung as it drives me on. Old gin drown Matt Talbot He was a penitentiary. If only my motive were true, my agony not a ecstasy….. Yeah, I was a beast wrestling humanity, my manly course and bruised so far removed from what parents approve. They must never know the secrets attended as they slumber. In the boundary of scorn don't we all rebel in the morning so final and damning, with a violent sigh this punishing may well be a cleansing in preparation for love, pacific and true. --------------------------------- Hi everyone, sorry I have not been around for a while. At the moment I am busy with college. Hope I can visit in a few months when I get a breather. A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.oscar wilde [This message has been edited by brian madden (01-26-2002 04:02 PM).] |

brian, it's soooo good to have you back for a minute. *HuGS* love the poem and loved the use of the word vesical in that context. Write on Kethry Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |

If this is a reflection of what college is doing to you, things sound rough, but always as is, the intensity suits you. I've missed you! Glad to see you back, even if but for a moment. |

My, it is so good to see you here, Brian, you know your writing HAS grown and deepened, but then I always saw something special there. I thought I was going to visit Ireland this year but it doesn't look like it, I'm afraid it will only be a dream for me...but who knows. This piece is so intense. If there is one thing that does my heart good it is reading young people expressing themselves, freely, openly and it is just a privilege to be able to do that isn't it? God speed! kathleen Kathleen--(Kay) |
