PIPs at Midnight
By Larry Chadwick

Rattling around PIPs late at night,
Gives a great sense of influence.
Responding to the poems I like,
Gathering in personal confluence.

There they are all in a row,
One after the other light blue.
And at the end of each page,
My post made just for you.

A late night power trip,
Lining up my favorite poems.
And you thought it,
The late night gnomes.

I confess to being the last to go,
But never do I turn out the lights.
It’s the time when I can enjoy,
Some of Passions best Writes!

Hey Larry,
aren't midnight reads the greatest?  Loved what you did with this.

I'm normally polishing my glass slippers  around midnight,
just in case I leave one behind.

I like what you wrote Larry,
this was a nice way to compliment all the poets on board.

What a great late night treat!
But sometimes I've got you beat!

A cool poem, Larry.

I know what you mean.  It's different being on here in the middle of the night, when hardly anyone else is around.  That's when I do most my reading, also.  lol @ your power trip line.  It is kind of like that, huh?

LarryC~

Oh no, this cannot be
for I'm in bed -
lost in slumber deep
Counting all those little sheep
that jump through the inkwell of me~

Must be a new muse
that you confuse
with the verse falling from my pen
Believe me, I am not here
I've already turned in~

But just in case
you find a poem you like
perhaps I should not deny
A muse - a muse
twinkled a little poetic stardust
in me little eye~

That's my story ... and I'm sticking to it~
*hugs*

What a great poem, Larry...and so true!
I love this place so much that sometimes, I truly cannot tear myself away.
My husband always has to remind me of what time its getting to be.
I have actually been here as late (or early) as 2 AM.
I'm glad I'm not the only poet who loves to rock around the clock!
