My lady...

Do you not see me here at the wall?
Do you care that my tears for you fall?
Does your heart not skip even one beat?
Will you allow me to bow at your feet?

I was born to be your knight and slave.
I was created to carry you from harm
I...your warrior...do stand here tall.
I wait to catch your heart in it’s fall.

Hear the whisper of my sighs to you.
In your ear, the bee..flying true.
Taking your nectar, the pollen stays
Oh my lady...these knightly ways.

Sleep my beauty, lie ever so still
Dream my lady, in our joy you will.
Listen to whispers......I love you!!!
Let the stars and moon fill the view.

Lie still...sleep my maid...I beg thee.
For beneath you I will stand faithfully.
My duty shall keep harm from your eye.
You..in peaceful rest, in slumber lie.

a beautiful statement of Love.... the knight watching his lady sleep.... wonderful!!

(i dunno about the "slave" thing, tho, but it would be terrific to find a man to occasionally take out the garbage... LOL)

Barry!  How on earth could one sleep after reading this!  Besides I was going into mass panic mode after you went 'poof', but, now I know it was your puter!  I'm trying hard to relax now...pulse rate is slowing down...LOL...gee, I'm glad you're still here!

This is so very romantic, Barry...
It shows you as a wonderful, caring man.
My husband is like that too!
He takes such very good care of me.
Your poem reminded me very much of him...and I loved it!h

Magnus, here's my challenge for I am not into critiquing today...

take this poem and work it with the "language of the time" for the Knight and his Lady...

I like this the way it is, but I would really like to see you do that....

Does not my words fit thine eyes well.
Mayest not my rhyme feed thou as I do?
Giveth me but what thee desire most best
and from this heart I shall pen of old.

Thanx Kari,  I so much do want to write
that style...I just don't know all the
words....HELP!!!!

Well, you have captured the heart of your lady, I have no doubt. And all who read this, in the process.
