One Who Came For Me

Is there no one in this place,
Hears me, sees my crying face.
Cares enough to ask me why,
On this day I sadly cry.

Still, alone do I retreat.
Not a soul to help me beat,
Grief and sorrow drowning me,
Lest I drown and no more be.

Throw a line or jump on in,
Grab my hand and pull me in,
Ever more my friend you'll be,
You're the one who came for me.

Floria

I'd tie a rope around my waist and wade in after you .  We've all felt this way at one time or another, and it is always nice to find someone who cares enough to take the plunge and come for us.

floria,
Count me in! If I ask you why...could you tell? If I said I'd just be there, is that enough? Count me in!

Dear Floria,
Here's a life preserver-grab! Oops! Didn't mean to hit you on the head with it! Are you okay? Is it the thought that counts in times like these? (Loved the smooth flow of your poem)
