An image outside The window beckons From uninhabited Lands, fresh and newly Born (untouched by the Race of man). "Come," says he, "There Are no others, I am lone. I came across, now you Are here. Come into my Country home." I stand inside And watch the trees Bend slightly in the Steady breeze That brings to mind The rush of waterfall, The air, the field, All is pristine. The rabbits run For the warren. Deer mingle in the pines. How incredible To conceive That this world could Be yours and mine. |
