Oh Noah, I had gone to pick out some of my favourite lines from this piece…but there were just too many. This is absolutely gorgeous. I think it is my favourite poem by you…such a fitting one to share your 5,000th post by the way. And many congratulations on that. Besides the fact that your poetry is always wonderful, you have some of the most heartfelt responses to the poetry of others that I have seen on these pages.
