Moonlit Promises My heart contains a moonlit promise, Warmed by memories of a kiss Radiating from the heavens On a moonlit night like this I remember strolling with you In the waves on midnight beach On the fringe of our tomorrows Moon and dreams within our reach Illuminating every promise Lighting words onto the crest Of rolling waters flowing toward us Love afloat on oceans breast Waves were murmuring my feelings Joining moon and stars above Resounding every spoken word That lapped in rhythms of our love Never had I known a promise As enchanting as the one Spoken to a listening moon And vanishing with dawning sun Deception shrouds each night, and yet When moon is sparkling on the sea On nights like this, the heavens shine Its diamond promises on me Elizabeth Santos [This message has been edited by Elizabeth Santos (01-23-2002 07:53 AM).] |

"I remember strolling with you In the waves on midnight beach On the fringe of our tomorrows Moon and dreams within our reach" (smiles) You are soooooooo romantic, sweet friend, this is such a gorgeous vision of true love and promises bound to come true! (kiss on cheek) You always write soooooo beautifully, sweet friend, may the moonlight forever shine in your heart and in your tears as you rejoice in true love! We all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Elizabeth, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |

Deception shrouds each night, and yet When moon is sparkling on the sea On nights like this, the heavens shine Its diamond promises on me Beautiful flow to this poem Liz, and as I read the last stanza all that could run through my mind was an old saying, "a promise is a promise" I loved it! <font face="monotype corsiva">~* Carpe' Diem *~ |
