Last night you told me about a drug
Four letters, it's called love
I realized It's got me hooked
And I can't get enough

Your right, no matter how much you have
You always want more
An ongoing dependency of your love drug
It's what I'm feinin for

When you give it to me
I feel as though I can fly
No need for stimulants
Your symptoms give the best kind of high

I can't settle for any other drug
Since none come close
I can indulge in your love drug all day
Without worrying about overdose

Your side effects feel incredibly good
They never wear off
This drug has to be earned
It cannot be bought

Therefore, love drug has no street value
So you won't find it on a price list
If your lucky enough to obtain some
Treasure it, for it is priceless

What else can it do?
It can make you the happiest person alive
Or it could slowly kill you
Eating at you inside

If it gets a hold of you
You might do things
you normally wouldnt do
It can discard your inhibitions
and make you try something new
I don't need rehab
I love the cravings I get for you

Be careful, this drug can harm people
It has no warning label
Though it is not illegal

I can't stop at one dose
Still can't stop at two
This is the love drug
that has me addicted to you

Oh Joanna this is so beautifully written.  ANd you are 100% correct, it is a drug, a drug which can kill, and also a drug to bring happiness.  Whichever the case, love is a very addictive drug, as many of us know.  Great job Joanna, I lovedd it.

How true! Love is a major drug! The higs and lows are as real as that from any illegal substance. Excellent writing!
