Do they still have the golden ring? where gilded horses prance, to music sing Amidst the whirl of faces blurred while sparkling steeds got gently spurred To reach out and grasp, as you flew by with outstretched hand under blue sky Ahhh, the fingers touched that worthy prize next time around, surely, with shining eyes Then with a poof, the image is gone but in the heart, still plays that song And reaching out for that golden ring for the free ride, it will surely bring In the mind, it is never brass only purest gold, was it always cast So ride the ride that ever goes on starting each day with its break of dawn With the day, ride that carousel white reach for that ring with all your might For it is not really the prize, don’t you see it is only to keep reaching, that is life’s key |
