Not for you,
None of these words I’m writing,
If you need
Just to read,
And can leave out the meaning,
Go ahead,
I’ll be read
In rhyming intonations,
Humble words
That you heard
Really have no emotions,
Not for you,
Just exercise in writing.

Inspiration comes from words,
some I've read and some I've heard.
But fantasy and truth be blended
hearts come broken, some are mended.
Silence is the moment's need.
On poets words, I often feed...
as others before have often said,
take no real meaning,
'tis words in stead.

Your words often inspire, as do many others on here.
This was a fine exercise..I enjoyed.

Sometimes that is all it is.

An excercise in writing rather than a note meant for someone to see themselves in.

I love this! Very well said, Sir!

Prof., I can relate. I often write of things that are not personal or relevent to my life but most times, readers think it's a personal experience. I have a hard time believing, though, that most of us are just posting for the writing exercise. Too much passion here, I think. Liked your poem. Cheryl

now, this is funny.  You know everyone reading is going to think you mean them.
I like the poem, just sounded kind of personal.  Personal?  Oh here ROFL

I do agree with His Poet, I make up some story type poetry sometimes, but mostly it does come from within my soul. I don't think I could write if it did not come from inside me. .I like this, it made me think. floria

Thank you, One and All,

I am truly pleased at the response this poetic exercise received,
For me it was just a returning to one of my basic forms.
Any reference to anyone Living , Dead, or semi-dead is
Unintentional
Any thoughts or further inspiration is taken as
Complimentary
