No longer fare I, have the urge,
nor time nor love, affection feed.
Thoughts come blended, massaging aches
that hands, once softly, molded need.

With words comes wanting, lacking now,
a fugitive, in fault of shift.
In weakness comes, instead of voice,
the taking back of love's once gift.

Forever seemed so close at hand,
an everlasting want, desire.
A month of Sundays, once would take
abandoning all, to have, transpire.

Each night escapes to flaw the days.
Each morn begins a puzzled maze.

And I, each entry bleed and drain,
A flow of anguish, words of pain.

One of my mother's favorite expressions was "a month of Sundays"
oh, gosh, okay, thank you for reminding me of this this morning, for some
reason it really got to me.
