They say you are mans' best friend well, if that's true, our love shall never end as, we've shared an abundance of memories like the time you and I, drank a whole bottle of hennessey. I love to caress your fur because, it feels soft as feathers I've had ones like you before but, none can measure. Man, if only you can speak cause, all you do, is stare at me and when I tell you I love you, your response is "woof, woof" as if you're telling me, "I love you too". Everyday I come home from work, you're always happy to see me, nearly ripping off my shirt and in a few minutes, you're ready to go outside to play with your friends or dig in the dirt. We've had so much fun playing hide and seek, that my youthfulness always gets the best of me, to the point that, I lose track of the time. I'm so glad that you're mine that I wouldn't trade you in, for a million gold mines or a luxurious home in alphines cause you're my sunshine as you've bought, a million smiles to my face everytime our hearts and souls embrace. Once again, I find myself telling you these things, contemplating and wishing, that you would reply but all I get, is you staring at me, with those big, black, and beautiful eyes as, I suddenly began to cry, cause I got an indescribable feeling inside, that you and I, shared a previous life as, celestial beings in the sky and that, you understand the present time and place as, I joyfully hugged you while, you licked me on my face. What a loving dedication to your faithful companion. They give love so unconditionally. I wish he could read your poem, cause I think he'd be very touched, but than again you could end up with a really sloppy face after he read it cause he would have to really give you lots of affection than.  Great poem I really enjoyed reading it tonight |

Man, if only you can speak cause, all you do, is stare at me and when I tell you I love you, your response is "woof, woof" At least your best friend responds somewhat verbally Mine just looks at me, wagging his tail...as if to say, 'I know you love me, now feed me, already!'. They are precious, aren't they. And certainly their love is unconditional. Great write, Nathan. |
