If

If you can give of your best whenever it’s asked of you
If you can stand and face yourself square and true
If you can look to the future and don’t look back
If you can give strength to others without fear or lack
If you can call out to you friend well done, well done
And not seek to bask in the glories of the race they’ve run
If you can be all that you can and live in harmony
You will understand life’s wonder and live in beauty

If you can walk straight and tall when you need to do
If you can run the distance when your strength is through
If you can sing when the road ahead turns rough
If you can give love always giving more than enough
If you can stand still and not moan and whine
And even when you’re not say to your friend I’m fine
If you can be all that and are willing to take more
You will never feel desperate or feel heart sore

If you can go forward and not seek to procrastinate
If you can accept all that happens as your destined fate
If you can seek wisdom but not desire to be too wise
If you can see truth and never seek to cover up lies
If you can be all that you can and never give in
And know that it’s the race not whether you win
If you can see beauty and feel it touch within you
Then you will live in love your whole life through

I don't know why your poems
always show up so tiny but

Midnitesun darling heart thank you so very much I’ve actually been working on this poem for a little while. I simply couldn’t get it to end I don’t know why that is I’m sure but it simply wouldn’t fall into place. Today I opened my unfinished file and it whispered to me saying work on me. I’m glad I did
