This World of Mine This world of mine, this fantasy Of which my pen so flowingly Makes candles dance in midnight dark And blue jays dance on snow capped bark This is in truth reality Of what lies deep inside of me Those little stars that dot the sky The lyrics of a lullaby The way a lovely petal turns The untamed heat as passion burns The hopes, the love, the pain, the fears The tender wet of child’s tears It’s not my hand that scrolls the phrase It is the life of passing days Recorded in the eye and mind That sings a rhythmic verse of rhyme I do not chose to come to me My fantasys' realities They shine as dreams from dreamer’s star They live within - They simply are Elizabeth Santos |
