O' Gentle Rose, each eve I weep, As I in vain, seek out night's sleep, I lay awake, in darkened room, Crying out, for thee fair bloom. They say that time, doth heal all pain, Then why this ache, each night's refrain? Do not you hear me call your name? Why must I play, grief's sorrow game? Outside the heavens shine above, A symbol of God's lasting love, Within confines of eboned room, I lay in dark, in silent tomb. Night's only sounds, a whispered wind, Upon its wings, to thee I send, A father's love, to heavens high, O' Gentle Rose, why did you die? /pip/Forum31/HTML/000041.html /pip/Forum4/HTML/002577.html |
