The clock is ticking, time is running out
Running out you say, running to where, running why
Have you seen it go by, has time gone, left you in doubt
That when you weren't ready time has passed you by

Others have been shown that time is on all hands
A time to sow a time to reap or when time can't be found
No time to smell the roses or see the dew that covers the lands
Wake up, time is running out, too late to repent, gone without a sound

We can do everything except hold time for its always on the move
What time is left at lives end can't be saved for another
It is gone to hide in shadows and more precious moments to lose
Look and see, listen and hear, seek and find, care for each other

This is the time to ponder, time to try and understand
Time to hold those most dear, don't wait 'till tomorrow
Don't wait for the right time, smell that rose, hold out a hand
Don't waste time, rather celebrate life and help it grow

I know no answer to all the many questions
When I need it most, time can't be found
Wait for the time or go meet it head on
No matter..with my time left, I'll make a joyful sound

Time can be both friend and enemy. Very well said. We need to show those we love how much we care because none of us knows how much time we have. **hugs** great message in this wonderful poem.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Time is indeed precious and one of our most valuble resources that we are blessed with.  Excellent write and full of much wisdom indeed.  A warning for us all to adhere to.

Mother Earth
How very true were your words.  I think we all need to stop and smell the roses, particularly now.  Life is far too short and really, the material things and money just don't matter.  We all have to cherish what we have and be so very grateful.
Take care......Sue

(sigh) Time always passes us by, but as long as we rise to every day and capture each moment and love ourselves, time will always be our dearest friend! (smiles) We all love you so much, sweet friend, your words are always so beautiful! (kiss on cheek) You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Mother Earth, thank you for sharing!

Time is of the essence, and the essence of time is the scent of NOW. Thank you ME. I missed this one 'the first time around' but I am happy to read it NOW.

Very intriguing write, ME.  You have got me thinking about time and how precious it is, yet we seem to waste it quite readily.  I think time is something to be cherished especially with those you love.  Great thoughts here.

Much wisdom in these words ME. Especially:

This is the time to ponder, time to try and understand
Time to hold those most dear, don't wait 'till tomorrow
Don't wait for the right time, smell that rose, hold out a hand
Don't waste time, rather celebrate life and help it grow

I love that verse. I do try to live my life that way, though, I will admit, I don't always succeed.

as i was reading this, i got a reality check.  so many times have i taken for granted that my loved ones will always be there.  when i moved 1000 miles from home, i realized that's not the case.  i can talk to them on the phone, but it's not the same as grabbing them and giving them a big bear hug.  when i see my family and friends again, i'm sure this poem will pop into my head and giving hugs will be the first thing i do.  thank you for the eye opener.

Well said, ME.  A great message, beautifully penned.
