What Do You Do What do you do when the last battle’s over? The last cruel word has been said- What do you do when you realize fully, That what you called marriage is dead? What do you do when you look in the mirror, And realize that you’ve grown old? Grasping and trying to put back together, A daydream you never could hold. What do you do when you realize fully- You no longer even respect… Too many cruel statements, and bitter betrayals- And all you can ask is, “What next?” You think and you ponder, what’s waiting out yonder? Somewhere at the end of your course- If you’d only been born, back in eighteen eighty- You’d go out and saddle your horse. You’d ride to the mountains, and dwell with the eagles, With only the wind as your friend- Alas, but today, you find yourself living- A nightmare that hasn’t an end. |

For some, the picture is tiny and tight, easy to see what to do. For others, the big picture takes up more than they are willing to deal with, and the discontent lingers on. Neither way is the right way, folks have to find their only way... thanks for this... |

This made me think of my parents, and how their marriage is going down in the dumps right now. They've been together for 30 years, and to think that there is still the perfect match for both of them out there in the world... sorry for my rambling on : ) |

A very interesting write. And still, there are no patent answers, as each relationship is unique. |

Very touching words. What do you do? I say you begin again. True love never dies, it just sometimes gets buried under hurt that was never let go of. I believe that true love can overcome anything, and often (to quote a friend of mine) the garden of love can prosper from the fertilizer that has been layed on top of it. *SMILE* I hope you find the answers you seek.
