I rarely ever remember a dream flick
They stay in a fog that hovers so thick
I wake in the morning wondering if I
had a dream of you within my mind’s eye

Only in my dreams am I seldom there.
Trying so hard to see and to share.
Wanting to have you before my eyes
Looking in slumber for just a surprise.

I dream of silly things and some fright.
I dream of what used to be in my sight.
The jobs and mobs and old submarines
departing on yet another wartime scene.

A fleeting kiss of a face that I do want
Those visions of past graves that haunt.
The loves I've lost and never felt again
The feelings that through me ran and ran

If only I could just be once again graced
with all the love that we've felt and faced.
I would surely give my life to just sleep
For in my dreams you're a treasure to keep.

its so nice to dream...yet so disappointing when you wake up and realize it was only a dream. I like this Magnus (hugs)

Thanx RosePetal...this is pretty well the way
my dreams go...so frustrating when you have
it right there and cannot remember it well.
My wife remembers dreams like a book....
I am envious of her.

I write my dreams down, often, ummm I wonder if there's a poem or two around in my drawer! I enjoyed this.

*sigh* I live for my dreams because then I know I find love. *grin* I always look forward to the velvet of night when the man I will love comes into my dreams. Very well done.
