You are supposedly my friend Why would you allow someone To criticize who I am? I thought you were somebody Upon who I could depend Whether if it was deliberately or not You've hurt me once again You're a much truer person When no one is around I think you should have stood up for me but you stayed neutral without sound I consider my true friends a gift This one sided friendship is starting to drift I won't let you treat me this way And I can't help but to look at you in dismay You are the guilty party here I may cry at night but I won't let you see my tears I do and say what I feel I'm not the one who bends from the pressure of peers You say your "boys" got growing up to do Well join them since maturity hasn't reached you If you cared about me that much You would know when to say enoughs enough You think your capable of handling things Yet I must call your bluff |

wow. whatever it was, this sounds like it really hurt. as far as the poem - well written and clear, with your use of language it's easy to see how you feel about this. as far as the events which inspired it - let me know if you need somebody to get tapped on the shoulder and reminded to play nice  -Dave, not only condoning but accepting money for random acts of violence to total strangers since 1996 |

Very well written. It is hard when someone that we consider a friend betrays us, but I always say that compassion and forgiveness can overcome anything. If a friend is a true friend, the pain only lasts for a short while. Not everyone is perfect, we all have our flaws, and sometimes our friends make mistakes, too. I like friends that are there all of the time, not just when the sun is shining brightly......I have no need for fair weather friends. You are strong enough to realize this, and to go on.....even though it does sometimes hurt when we find out those we thought the world of were just there for the ride.
