New Love Gets Old |

Ah, sunflowers dance up ahead The smell of cinnamon creeps up An unstoppable grin across my mouth I found a new love A relationship starts out smooth Staying that way for a month or so Then as time progresses Rocks form on the road Once the feeling of new love is gone You subject eachother to the anger within Your attitude gets the best of you And the fights begin I guess some are easily bored Seeking out entertainment of some form You were the warm sun when love begun Now you're the eye of the storm You get too fond of eachother Tired of the repetitive routine Amasing how just a month ago This was the person of your dreams New love gets old It loses its magic Sometimes it's repairable Other times ends tragic [This message has been edited by RosePetal (edited 11-20-2001).] |

I don't know but I think sometimes the pain and anger are telling you to move on and sometimes you realize that you want to stay and work through the pain and anger...depends on how compatable or comfortable you are with each other...we will have many friends and lovers but only a few truly special ones...James |

mmmmmmm I think love is about working things out. You can build a stronger love by learning to understand each other and working through pain and anger. But I also guess that sometimes it just has to end. Very well written. This poem is going to make lots of people think. Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. |

Very true and very real write, Rose Petals. All too often we jump in with both feet before taking a serious look around what we are getting into. Sometimes we don't realize until it's too late. That is the true tragedy. Good write. All writing comes |

I think, that if a new love gets like this, then it is not a love at all. An infatuation maybe, a passion perhaps, but no, not love. Love does not turn to this for a long time, if ever. May be time to examine if the person is really who you thought they were. If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please? |

Rosepetal, I agree with Tracey. If it's true love.. a month is just a drop in the bucket. Infatuaion is a strange thing... one that people WAY to often call love. Good write. I enjoyed Hugs, Tara "My heart is like an open book, for the whole world to read" |

Thank you for all the replies. I think that there isnt a time limit of how long before you fall in love. It all depends on the individial and the situation. A couple may fall in love after 10 months and another couple might fall in 5. Infatuation happens alot those these days, especially with teens. Thanks Again everyone. : ) |

This poem hit some truths! People mistake love with infatuation...or they lust after someone too quickly. Great poem! Do or die! |

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Joanna, my heart cries out to all these young lovers too, for it is so sad but true, but deep down I know that everyone has a perfect love, that will always shine with sunshine and tread softly on smooth roads forever of rainbows! (smiles) This is so sad but beautiful, sweet friend, I love you so very much! (kiss on cheek) You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Joanna, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |
