September Sonnet Yesterday I became the enemy, the ticking clock once friend, now bitter foe, to stay that hand and stop the imagery, to staunch that tides relentless ebb and flow. But finding no divinity in need, Time he walked remorseless ever onward, And frame by frame made mockery of me, In innocence and truth, no just reward, And cowardice he walked along with time, an ally from one moment to the last, no prejudice or reason in his rhyme, sacrificing all flesh for times repast, So time redressed the balance, this he must, the victors and the vanquished, all are dust. Olias. |

So much for time, being on our side, eh? But personally? I don't mind time so much. Each year is like another scratch on the prison wall. (sorry, been a little depressed lately, grin) but good to see you posting again, and what form sonnet might this be? (short term memory loss thing yanno) I did enjoy. Sonnets are my fave. Deceptively simple, aren't they? ![]() |

Olias...where have you been keeping yourself? Surely you did not have writer's block, but life found other things to busy you, for this is proof itself that your pen still knew where home is... |

Hi Serenity, Thanks for the kind reply, sorry I dont know what form this is I have a hard time with these things they never seem to flow like they should. Peaches, I'm glad you enjoyed, thank you for taking the time to read. Lady in White, Your kind words give me a real welcome back, the bad penny that I am. I dont think it has been a case of writers block more like where there is no sense there is no feeling lol. Thanks for your reply and take care. Regards to everyone, Olias. |

this is a wonderful sonnet for September, November or any month for that matter. A difficult form sometimes to master, well done! Carolina |

This sonnet is styled as a shakespearean sonnet which I love and is very well done too. It captured me from beginning to end. Very well done and a keeper so it goes into my library. ![]() Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. |
