6 O' Clock.... the buzzer buzzes brrrrrrrrrrringggg, snooze is on, 9 minutes later brrrrrrrrring.... monday morning they believe i am crazy because i listen to rock music while the new age relives hip-hop and the middle aged thrives on pop while the aged and mostly wise listen to Mozart and Beethoven playing their orchestrated symphonies i think i am caught between that tiniest of the gaps called generation and i shake my head when i listen is that not rock music is for? shake a head, blend into the music rediscover the ryhthms uncover pleasure from deep within oneself, mould, melt into the voices, ... and the others shake their heads too only they are nodding in disapproval a further bit of rejection, and a touch of more denunciation why can't someone accept that points of view manage to differ it is not that i wanted to think differently how can i explain the fact that my odd views differ from my own even ones at various hours of the day right now, i am flanked by the small space, sandwiched between the end of night and the beginning of dawn counting still sheep between the zero and the one fuzzy and sleepless always complaining. the colours on the canvas has developed a lazy vertigo painted all over them in gentle shades of fade morning has arrived even the cats on the street stretches out, throwing a big yawn and the birds sing and say it is time for some warm coffee later, i shall return to change the disc to some heavy grunge music while i continue to be busy being crazy meanwhile, "Good Morning, PiP-World!!!" --------- ------------------- ------------------- ---------- Those are the best three words I have managed so far... hope you have a great week... |

Good morning to YOU, my friend! And your mind wakes up busy and mine won't sleep for the same reason! Delicious introspection, and sounds like you are ready to take on the world. Happy Day! |

Ahhh, love this, Sudhir. That place between generations seems to become more pronounced as we grow older. I can relate to this one. [This message has been edited by chansondegeste (edited 11-19-2001).] |

Sudhir, I really enjoyed this little wake up poem, though I read it just before bed. Sandra |

A fun poem, a not-so-crazy expression of the individual being just that...individual. You were not stamped from some giant cookie cutter in the sky. Myself, I listen to rock, classical, blues, jazz, reggae, soft pop, and new age. Give me Carlos Nakai on flute, Habib Koite on guitar, and Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata for pure heavenly delight. Keep rockin, Sudhir. |
