Awakening is not a matter of weeks,
Or years,  or lifetimes.
It is a loving and patient unfolding.
A journey INTO love.
We only have to let go
Of what blocks our hearts
To see the love and light
That shines within
Each and every one of us..
Oftentimes.......
We allow our fears and frustrations
Rule our lives.
And we miss out on all the love and compassion
That is being offered  to us by others.
The most difficult task
Any of us can endure
Is to believe in ourselves.
To quiet our spirit and listen.
Listen to the answers that  lie
Withing our hearts and souls,
We have all come upon moments in our lives
When---
In deep pain and suffering
We question our faith.
We pick at the scabs and scars
In our hearts--
Searching for answers.
Answers we fear we may never find.
But......
If we truly listen,
We will know---
That fear is a place that has not yet
Discovered love.
FEAR SEES LIMITS.
LOVE SEES POSSIBILITIES.
Sometimes.....
We allow our fears paralyze us,
We clutch our past so tightly to our chest
That it leaves our arms too full
To embrace the present.
We all have lessons to learn in our lives
But we only have one purpose---
LOVE.
Without love in our hearts--
Not just for others-----
But for ourselves as well,
We are lost.
Love is the seed that gave birth
To my spiritual awakening.
It is the only truth I have,
It is the most precious gift I have to offer.
And I offer it to you unconditionally.
All I ask in return
Is for you to open your hearts to receive it.
And live in the love and light
That is within each and every one of you.

*sigh* if only we could leave our fears behind and always be open to love. Wonderful words that will give any who read them pause to think. Well done.

Thank you for your replies, it is greatly appreciated. Trust me, it has taken me a very long time to reach this point in my life. I've had a very dark childhood and forgiveness and love were not a part of my life, but---an angel has helped me to open my heart. Thus, opened my eyes---my heart---to a whole new world. And I am eternally greatful to her and to all of you here at passions for your continued love and support.
