Whenever a change was needed confusion, chaos starved, feelings seeded there was a place I would go where my mind could connect with my soul I can hear the trickle of life it soothes my beast, easing the strife I can feel the heat of the day here it doesn't burn, it just fades away My mind at ease, my heart alive now I can concentrate, I can strive There is no better place for me to whisper or wail to find myself, to lose myself, at Shady Rail The reflection of a winding wind soothing, searching, my thoughts begin to mend A childs distant warming laugh enjoying a cool spring-fed bath A bird carols a pressing song making whats sad feel not so wrong Natures lifeline bleeds from stone to stone not so lost, not so alone The storm now quietly subsiding tension released, obstacles dividing that's the calmness at Shady Rail the breath of life behind a restless veil |

What a beautiful poem. In troubled times, we all need a Shady Rail to lean upon, to catch our breath and move ahead naturally, peacefully. Very well done, one to keep and read again. |

Oh yes, I can relate to this one. I have a place like this not far from here. It's a beautiful park by the river. I walk along the dock and try to clear my head when it gets to be too much. I don't know what I'd do without it. Wonderful write. All writing comes |
