Torn by my emotions-
I want to run away...
My heart tells me to flee the scene
But duty bids me stay.

What a master, Duty-
No matter how we feel...
The harsh whip of our concsience...
Still brings us all to heel.

The hasty, rash decisions-
Bind us all through life...
Like vows to be a husband,
Or vows to be a wife.

The world lies in confusion...
More often strife than beauty...
How much worse off, our world would be
If not for sense of duty.

Perhaps that is why we have as many problems is that we have forgotten that sense of duty.
The events of the last year have reawakened us to realizing the importance of duty.
Well written as always.
