My bright-eyed muse,
Since I last had sight of your face,
I’ve discovered a deeper companion in the morning sky...
You should see me--
I walk along each meadow of white,
Contemplating everything you’ve unveiled.
Changing me with every step,
The cherry red intensity clarifies the spirit
Of bare branches passing over my head.

My unparalleled inspiration,
Since we last had our fingers ignite,
I’ve come to appreciate fully the noonday heat...
You’re the one who told me about it--
I rest beside the river,
Directing my gaze to that distant definition.
Shielding me from the biting wind beyond,
The muted tones beneath the bridge describe
The established life that once settled within.

My confounding haven,
Since you last held me amongst the stars,
I’ve come to realize how you held me in your way...
You need to be beside me right now--
I watch the black night,
Sensing your stare into my soul.
Taking me in from any dark cold,
Your embrace acts as a faithful reminder
Of the warmth which I’ve been granted...constantly.

My bright-eyed muse,
You set fire to my shadowed hours...
My unparalleled inspiration,
You are the only one in which I find reason...
My confounding haven,
My search for glimmer in the sea is now finished...
So, until we meet again to commence timeless unity,
I wanted to let you know, again,
How my world spins into a rainbow
When I think of you.

And did you know with the rain in your pockets,
you can change the weather...

"The cherry red intensity clarifies the spirit"

this is the kind of phrase a poet drools over......

My hat goes off to you for a splendid breakdown of how the day meant more to you with your bright-eyed muse. Nicely done
