Playing with time in the void of my mind. The time drifts the wind along In ripples second takes In miniscule dances sand is whipped along To be deposited in another space What has arrived from somewhere must depart Before it settles in its place Motion never stops to bend time In blurs of memories things stand still To only lose them when you turn around And to have to find what was never there In the end there is no beginning For the circle never stopped Whirling around the universe So stability is what you can record In a flashback that is destroyed Every thing has a time with it Except the human mind It lies in a void That time plays a game with it And always wins D.Lester Young (12/29/01) Tuscaloosa, AL Copyright © D.Lester Young (White Eagle poetry) |

D.Lester Young, This poem whirled and eddied like the sands caught in a gusty wind...or a time trap. Well Done! Kethry Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |
