Sister lost, sister found.
I tracked you like
a hungry bloodhound.
But it finally paid off
and now you do know
how sorry I am
we lost each other
so long ago.
Fragmented families
are complicated puzzles.
Sometimes you get lucky
and find a missing piece.
And even though this puzzle
is not yet complete,
this New Year's Day
with smiling face
will I greet.
To those who read, I recently found my sister who 'disappeared' in 1978, through the help of Ann, a wonderful woman at Peoplefinders.  Thank you Ann.

Oh my gosh!  I am so happy to hear that you two have been re-united with each other!  And such a great write to express how you feel about your successful search.  I hope you two keep in touch and catch up on what has happened since the year of 1978.  I am very happy for you!  And I hope you have the happiest of New Year's

What an incredible story Kacy. That's a long time to lose a sister. I am so glad you found her, that must have been the most fantastic Christmas present you received. My heart is overflowing with joy for you. Hugs in your happiness.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

You have given me chills...I went through the same thing with my brother. The Salvation Army helped me to find him. He is now on a rope, tethered to New Orleans...(he is a bit of a vagabond...)

I share your joy!!!

Thank you so much Randy. Yes, we spoke on Christmas Day, and she was re-connected with our other 2 sisters. Now hopefully our 2 brothers will be the next pieces to connect. We know where they are.

Tracey, I cry a little every time I think about all those lost years. But now we will stay connected.

Serenity, LOL, you have him tethered? I'm sure you are both happy to have been reunited.

LOL, now you've got me rolling out the door laughing. Thanks for the fun. Now I'm out the door to take little Skippy dog for his morning snow doodle art session.

Kacy,
There's more than one of you? Cool. What does she think of moose hide bikinis? LOL How exciting! You get my best wishes for a wonderful reunion.

Noah, thank you sweetie. It's hard to express the feelings I had the day I found out where she was.

Larry, LOL, she lives in AZ. You have a greater chance of seeing her right now than I do. PS it is 36F here this morning. It was 40F yesterday. Definitely bikini weather.

Kacy, I am so happy for you.  I personally have had a reunion with a loved one, five years ago, after 36 years, and reading your piece makes me wish I had a way of putting into words the emotions I felt and still feel....incredible! But as I try to write it out...the tears of joy and gratefulness get in the way. Hugs.

*~ Wishing everyone a New Year filled with Peace & Love ~*

Martie, thank you. It was a long road, but worth it.

Nancy, I understand what you mean, as I was not able to express this feeling at all until this morning. I found where my sister was living in early October, but wasn't able to  talk to her until mid November, and then again Christmas. I am so happy that you found a lost loved one too.
