I Wish You Love

I see before you golden skies
That flash of joy within your eyes
I was the one to realize
That pain would not be your demise
I wish you hope, a happy tear
I wish you love this coming year

For what was said, for what was done
You stuck together, all as one
And through your sorrow, still the sun
At times made rainbow colors come
I wish you strength above the fear
I wish you love this coming year

I watched you fall, I watched you stand
I watched your spirit take command
As life was not what you had planned
At times I offered you a hand
I wish your pathway straight and clear
I wish you love this coming year

There are some things, as stars of night
That still remain in dawning’s light
That never change from wrong to right
That never cease to cause your plight
And yet the golden skies are near
I wish you love this coming year

Your heart now harbored from the storm
Your friends abound, your home is warm
My brow is wet, my wings are shorn
But I’ve been here since you were born
I am your guardian angel, dear
I wish you love this coming year

This one is a keeper. We all have guardian angels - sometimes we don't listen to them but they are always there. I wish you happiness ad love too.

This was well written and well rhymed. Sometimes...I think that I have a Guardian Angel watching over me...this reminded me of that thought.
