The Gawk  (couch potatoes take note)

The Gawk he has such a pendulous chin,
A mouth right above it for stuffing food in,
His body below, well it just isn't there
he's sat for so long it is part of his chair,
His skin has developed a gaudy red plaid
all threadbare and ragged from wear that it's had,
His left hand turned into a snack-up machine
while his right, a remote for his gogglebox screen
which he glazidly gazes at, morn, noon and night,
He continuously munches with all of his might
greenburger, beanfurter, kinkberry gin,
With cramulous ease, he stuffles them in,
'Til slowly but surly, well children I swear
the Gawk was no more....
Just a fat red plaid chair.

Olias.

Olias...this is some of the most unique use of the English language that I have ever had the pleasure of seeing.
I love the new words you made up...especially "gogglebox"...I think that I will forever call my TV a "gogglebox"

I think you could've Suessed it up a bit more and quite cleverly...as is, however, a good chuckle!

ROTFLMAO, I had to read this outloud to my teenager.

"With cramulous ease, he stuffles them in,
'Til slowly but surly, well children I swear
the Gawk was no more....
Just a fat red plaid chair."
Have you been in my house again?
This is so Suessly silly. I'm going to cram this one into my fridge, so that I can have cramulous fun tomorrow night again.

love the creative words, reminds me of canadianisms that come about as we invent new words from experiences...

Olias...I just had to come back to this one...it is so funny that I have not stopped giggling about it since yesterday when I first read it. I especially love this part.

"He continuously munches with all of his might
greenburger, beanfurter, kinkberry gin,
With cramulous ease, he stuffles them in"

It sounds like someone buys this guy's food at a health food store..."greenburger" and "greenfurter" sound like the meatless versions of hamburgers and hotdogs....But what is "Kinkberry gin"?  Is that something which is only available in the U.K.?

This is how I think this guy looks...except much fatter, and with a red plaid chair instead of a body....
Great work!

Madame Chipmunk,
Lol, nice graphic, I like. I'm afraid I invented Kinkberry gin, I'm considering brewing it in my kitchen and contrary to popular belief it does not make you blind
I'm glad you liked, Thank you and Merry xmas.

Balladeer,
I sleep with mine all the time, its a control thing, drives my fiancee up the wall lol, Happy Holidays to you.

Pilgrimage,
I'm so pleased that you enjoyed this, the best of the season to you.

Thank you to everyone and a Merry Christmas
Olias.
